I’m currently in residence at the beautiful five-star Crossbasket Castle in Scotland, training the spa team ahead of the opening of Four Angels Spa this autumn.

I’ve been working closely with Zoe Douglas, Director of Spa and Wellness, on a concept centred around restoration and thoughtful, therapeutic care.

The inspiration for the treatments comes from the history and legacy of the Four Angels Waterfall, which flows through the Crossbasket Castle estate. I developed the treatment protocols around the four pillars of Four Angels, Roots, Purity, Renewal and Wholeness, carefully considering how the therapeutic methods, products and techniques could work together to respond to different needs.

An important part of bringing that vision to life is the therapists themselves.

Significant investment has been made in their training, and I’m spending this time with the team sharing the techniques, intention and understanding behind each ritual so that the treatments are delivered with real depth and purpose.

The result is something I’m very proud to be part of, a considered spa experience designed to restore balance and wellbeing for both body and mind.

I’m looking forward to seeing Four Angels Spa open its doors this autumn. 🤍

Every training day reminds me why I became so passionate about education in the first place. Seeing therapists develop their skills and grow in confidence is incredibly rewarding.

These wonderful therapists recently completed advanced training with me at the Stradom House Autograph Collection Hotel & Spa, and it was a joy to share my experience with such an enthusiastic and dedicated group.

Experiences like this are also one of the reasons I created the Beata Digital Academy. Because for many years, I could only teach the therapists who were able to attend my courses in person. The Academy allows me to share the same knowledge, techniques and approach with therapists from all around the world, helping them continue their learning wherever they are.

It was an honour to speak at Forum HOTel&SPA Paris this week. A huge thank you to Vladi Kovanic and Mark Moloney for this opportunity.

I spoke about the evolving human factor in a technologically advanced world. Within the session I addressed the paradox of increasing loneliness despite constant connectivity, noting that guests now seek wellness for human connection and emotional safety. I highlighted the importance of advanced training for therapists, focusing on emotional resilience and injury-free techniques. I took this opportunity to advocate for better working conditions for therapists, integrating selfcare and mental wellbeing into their training. To conclude, I expressed my belief that the future of wellness should prioritise preserving human experiences over technological advancements, ensuring that clients feel cared for and connected.

It was an honour to speak at the Medical Wellness Congress in Geneva last week talking about the power of touch, humanity in the spa and wellness setting and how to care for the health and wellbeing of our teams.

Wonderful to connect with Vladi Kovanic along with so many inspiring professionals and passionate people from across the wellness industry.

I’m really honoured to be speaking at the 5th edition of the Medical Wellness Congress

In this session, I’ll be exploring one of the biggest challenges in our industry right now… recruitment and retention. But more importantly, how we can support our teams in a more human way.

Through empathy, emotional resilience, and a coaching-based approach, we can begin to reduce burnout, improve the way teams feel at work, and ultimately create better experiences for both therapists and clients.

This is something I feel very strongly about. Because when we take care of the people delivering the treatments, everything changes.
