The turning point was not a stronger peel. It was a calmer plan.
A client can arrive wanting the strongest possible treatment because they are desperate for change. Sometimes the better plan is to reduce irritation, support the barrier, improve consistency and create space for recovery. When the skin becomes more settled, professional treatments can be introduced at the right pace. Results are often built by restraint and timingnot intensity alone.
Book a Skin Strategy Session if you are tired of guessing whether your skin needs more or less.
Are you ready to take your skin improvement seriously. Do you want to get the skin you have always wanted that allows you to have the confidence to age gracefully, confidently and with the same sass you had in your 20's.
I have the tools, treatments and commitment to make it happen… Do you?
If this sounds like something you want to discuss further, then drop me a message or pop into the salon.

A flare-up is often a clue - not a failure.
Skin can flare after a new product, over-exfoliation, stress, hormonal changes, illness, weather shifts, friction or changes to medication.
When it happens, the instinct is often to add more products quickly. That can make it harder to identify the trigger.
Pause, simplify, note what changed and seek professional or medical advice when symptoms are persistent, severe or concerning.
Save this for the next flare-up and resist the urge to change five things at once.

Healthy skin is not built by skincare alone.
No single food creates perfect skin, but regular meals containing protein, colourful vegetables, healthy fats, fibre and enough fluid can support the body processes your skin relies on.
The aim is not restriction or another impossible wellness rule. It is variety and consistency.
Supplements may sometimes be useful, but they should add to—not replace—a balanced approach.
Save this carousel for your next food shop and choose one realistic addition rather than changing everything.

If your skin changes when you are stressed, it is not your imagination.
Cortisol is part of the body’s normal stress response.
When stress is prolonged, the wider response may influence oil production, inflammation, sleep and healing—factors that can change how skin looks and feels.
This is not a diagnosis and cortisol should not become another online buzzword.
The practical message is simpler: notice patterns, protect your barrier and build a plan you can maintain during busy periods.
Share this information with someone whose skin always seems to react during stressful weeks.

Collagen support is not one product. It is a strategy.
Supporting collagen is rarely about finding one miracle cream. Daily SPF, suitable vitamin A and vitamin C, adequate protein, sleep, consistency and professionally selected treatments can all play a role. The right combination depends on your skin, health, tolerance and goals. A structured approach is more useful than buying several products that promise the same result in different packaging.
Comment COLLAGEN if you would like Nicola to explain which parts of a collagen plan matter most after 40.

Stress does not stay in your head. Your skin feels it too.
When stress becomes constant, it can affect sleep, appetite, skin-picking, oil production and how well you maintain your routine. Some people notice more sensitivity, breakouts, dullness or slower recovery. That does not mean relaxation alone will cure a skin condition. It means your plan should recognise the whole person rather than treating the skin as though it exists in isolation.
Save this as permission to include rest and consistency in your skin plan.

Red, tight and unpredictable is not always just ‘sensitive skin’.
Inflamed or highly reactive skin may feel hot, tight, itchy, uncomfortable or suddenly intolerant of products.
It can also look dull, uneven or congested.
These signs can have several causes, so social media cannot diagnose what is happening.
The useful next step is to stop escalating the routine, record what has changed and seek qualified guidance before introducing more strong ingredients.
Save this checklist and share it with someone who keeps describing their skin as unpredictable.

Her skin did not need more actives. It needed less irritation.
One of the most common patterns we see is skin that has become overwhelmed by too many products, frequent exfoliation and constant changes. The first improvement may come from simplifying the routine, supporting the barrier and giving the skin time to settle. Progress is not always created by adding the strongest treatment. It is created by choosing the right next step and repeating it consistently.
Save this if your routine keeps growing while your skin feels less comfortable.
