Apparently, 2027 is giving the clean girl a little time off. And I’m rather enjoying it.

After years of barely-there makeup, perfectly polished skin and neat, short n**e nails, fashion seems ready to get a little messy again.

Smudged eyeliner, lived-in makeup and glamour with a slightly rebellious attitude.

Welcome to the era of messy, gritty, dirty glamour.

And I think there’s something quite interesting behind this shift.

We’ve spent years celebrating beauty that looks effortless, while putting enormous effort into making sure absolutely everything looks perfect.

Now, the SS27 runways seem to be questioning that obsession.

Because beauty can be imperfect, excessive, dramatic, a little chaotic and still incredibly sophisticated.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this trend is the freedom to experiment again, without worrying whether everything looks perfectly polished and socially acceptable.

And the irony? It takes an incredible amount of skill backstage to make something look this beautifully undone😂

My complexion duo for a beautifully perfected, long-wearing base.

03 Astral Beige for that beautifully soft, matte beige definition, paired with 09 Stellar Light for a little pink sparkle. Such a gorgeous combination when you want your eyes to catch the light.

One of my favourite little backstage rituals: the final airbrush touch before the models hit the runway.

How do we get THAT catwalk glow? Well, it takes a little more than a good highlighter.

We spend time building the skin with a beautiful, long-wearing base, some strategic sculpting, a touch of Lancôme Halo Blur powder (basically an invisible Instagram filter, but in real life) and a few other backstage favourites.

And then comes the airbrush loaded with a little secret cocktail of ingredients. A few finishing touches, and suddenly, THAT glow.

I could genuinely do this all day. Although, after a full Fashion Week, my feet might have a different opinion 😂

Just landed from Fashion Week and went straight to the opening party for BLO 3.0 .studio

And the best way I can describe the new space is:
I’m shocked, but not surprised.

Shocked because it looks so good. Every corner, every detail, every angle, beautiful, considered, ridiculously aesthetically pleasing.

But not surprised, because I know how hard Tyler works, how high her standards are, and how much she puts into everything she decides to do. When you work that hard for something, the result was never going to be anything less than special.

So proud of the team and wishing everyone so much success in the new space. See you all back at work 😂🤍

Backstage reality: sometimes the tools malfunction, sometimes the timing is brutal, and sometimes your airbrush decides the model’s eye needs a little extra attention. 😭

When you’re working fast, things happen but somehow it all still comes together beautifully in the end.

Back at .ro with and his team for the second time this year, this time in Bucharest. I’m tired, slightly running on fumes, but honestly… being surrounded by this much creativity makes it worth it.
