The studio chapter has closed, but I knew I wasn’t finished with this business. I still love teaching spray tanning, and I love getting properly stuck into the business side with other beauty business owners. So I’ve built this next chapter around both, keeping in mind everything I wish I had help with when I started 15 years ago.

Okay, it’s finally time to put a date on it… 28 September 🤍

When I closed the studio, I knew it wasn’t the end of With Sam Collective.

It was an opportunity to step back, look at everything I’d built over the last 15 years and decide what I genuinely wanted the next chapter to look like.

Since then, I’ve been quietly rebuilding it around the work I love and know I’m here to do - and I’m nearly ready to show you.

I’ll be revealing a lot more over the next few days, but for now…

Four years ago today, I had my first content shoot to launch what was then Tan with Sam Academy 🥹🤍

I remember thinking I had everything planned… and then the day actually happens and you realise there’s a lot more to a content shoot than turning up and getting some nice photos 😂

That shoot taught me so much about creative direction, collaboration and having a clear vision. It also brought me together with a group of female business owners who are now friends, including , who has since become one of the best content creators in the industry 🥹

It was also the shoot that encouraged me to explore content creation properly. What started with creating content for my own business eventually led me into a whole other side of what I do now.

Four years later, I’m planning my next shoot for the relaunch of With Sam Collective, bringing together my experience in running a beauty business, building an academy and creating content that actually supports a business.

And that’s just one of the things I’m excited to bring into my consultancy services: helping beauty professionals plan their own content and branding shoots, from creative direction and shot planning to making sure the content has a purpose beyond just looking pretty.

Funny how things come full circle ✨

If I had one hour inside your beauty business, I wouldn’t start by changing your logo or telling you to post more.

I’d want to know what you actually want the business to give you.

Then we’d look at what’s making money, what’s quietly draining it, why clients choose you, where bookings are falling through and how much of what you’re doing is strategy… versus “this is just how I’ve always done it.”

Because most beauty business owners do not need another fifty ideas.

They need someone experienced to look at the full picture, find the thing creating the biggest blockage and tell them what is worth fixing first.

Three months ago I posted a video saying I was closing With Sam Collective. That’s not what’s happening.

What is happening: I’m not spraying clients anymore. That chapter is done sadly. But the idea that I was done with this - the teaching, the consulting, having opinions about what’s going wrong in this industry and what it should look like - I got that wrong.

There’s too much I still want to say. Too much I’ve kept to myself for too long because the beauty world is small and you learn quickly that having a take can make things complicated.

I’m done being careful about it, because there’s things that need to be said and changed 🤭

Years inside this industry and I have real, considered opinions about pricing, training standards, why talented people are exhausted and still not moving forward, and what I’d do differently if I started again. That’s what this account is now.

No spraying or skin treatments, but still very much here sharing everything I know with training, setting up the next best luxury spray tan artists and successful beauty business owners now WORLDWIDE 🙌🏽✨
