Hi everyone,
It has been brought to my attention over the weekend that the name of Crowns & Curls has been mentioned in connection with allegations of subletting.
I would like to make it absolutely clear that Print Hive were operating from our property with our landlady’s knowledge and permission. This was not something that was done secretly or without the property owner being aware.
I have also taken the appropriate steps to make the relevant authorities aware of the situation, including Dover District Council and Companies House, and I will be informing DWP where I believe it is appropriate for them to be made aware.
I am extremely disappointed that, after trying to help people when they needed it, I now feel that Crowns & Curls has been unfairly dragged into something that could give people the wrong impression.
There is also an outstanding rent balance of £350, which is a separate matter that needs to be addressed.
I have absolutely nothing to hide. I have always tried to operate my businesses properly, legally and above board, and I am more than happy for the relevant authorities to look into the situation and establish the facts.
I simply wanted to put this statement out there so that customers, friends and members of the local community do not get the wrong impression about Crowns & Curls or how our premises have been used.Thank you to everyone who continues to support my business.
