โจ Why I prefer to start brows lighter at the first sessionโฆ
When creating permanent makeup brows, starting lighter and more softly gives us much more room to perfect the result at your touch-up. ๐ค
It allows us to make small adjustments to the depth, saturation, shape or colour once we see how your skin has healed.
Because once brows are made too dark or too saturated, thereโs very little we can do to make them lighter at the touch-up.
For this client, once her brows had fully healed, she wanted them slightly darker and more defined, especially through the fronts.
Rather than changing to a darker pigment, I used the same colour mix and simply increased the saturation during her touch-up. This gave her the deeper effect she wanted while keeping the colour beautifully balanced with her original result. โจ
This is why two sessions are so important โ PMU is a process of building and perfecting, not trying to achieve the final result all at once. ๐

This gorgeous young client came to me after years of picking her own brow hairsโฆ leaving her with very little natural hair and feeling fed up with drawing them on every single day ๐ฅบโ๏ธ
๐ช๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐๐น๐. She was understandably nervous about them looking too dark for her first time, so we chose a very light shade. Once healed, they were softer than she wanted โ but thatโs the beauty of working in stages ๐ค
At her follow-up she felt braver and trusted the process (and me ๐ฅน), so we went slightly darker to add more definition and realistic nano hair strokes. The result? Fuller, natural-looking brows that frame her face beautifully without looking heavy or blocky โจ
