All Bodies Wellbeing
Andrea is a Level 4 Pilates teacher and a Level 4 Strength & Conditioning Coach. She runs group classes & 1:1
She is also a Scarwork therapist, trained in Fascial Unwinding, Aromatherapist, Hypopressive Trainer, Oncology Massage and is a Heartmath coach. ABOUT ALL BODIES WELLBEING
All Bodies Wellbeing has been borne out of many years of learning and fascination with how the body moves and functions. Andrea has been a movement practitioner for over 10 years. Initially trained as a Pilates teacher, she went on to train in further movement disciplines and along with a fascia focused approach brings this expertise to her movement classes. Andrea is also a Heartmath practitioner, a method that uses breathing exercises to help lower levels of stress and anxiety, this blends perfectly with her approach to movement as well. She is also a Scarwork therapist and trained in Fascial Unwinding and Energy Awareness which offers a lighter touch 'hands-on' therapy but at the same time works at a deeper level. These treatments work perfectly for those restrictions within the body that movement alone cannot resolve. Working on the body’s fascia is a relatively new concept in manual therapies but it is slowly becoming recognised as a key part of the functioning of the body’s systems rather than something that gets discarded when it comes to dissection classes in medical school. Fascia is everywhere, surrounding, containing and connecting every part of the body from head to toe. It creates an interconnected web under the skin and runs from the superficial to deeper parts of the body. Our fascia responds to many things including how we move, how we don’t move, force, load placed upon it, emotional stress and past traumas – it is thought that trauma and emotion can be held in the body long after the event has occurred. It is highly adaptive, can get dehydrated, gluey and almost stuck. Surgery and injuries can impact the fascial web and create adhesions, restriction to our movements and pain. Our fascia is part of our communication system and is literally the stuff that holds us up. At All Bodies Wellbeing we offer both face-to-face and online movement classes as well as treatments that use the lightest of touch to help encourage the tissue to go back ‘home’, but this doesn't mean that it lacks depth, more research is being done about how this approach can have a more profound affect at the cellular level. Encouraging the tissue to go back home can lead to improved mobility around the restricted areas, reduction in pain and tension in the body, improved circulation and energy flow, it can help reduce stress and anxiety and can help with the improvement in the look and feel of scar tissue and surrounding area. Scarwork can help to reduce lumps, bumps and areas that might be a bit stuck down. The treatments vary depending on your needs, the options include: Fascial Unwinding, Energy Awareness and Sharon Wheelers Scarwork. We are qualified and insured in all areas of treatment. Andrea is a Level 4 qualified Pilates teacher, Garuda Matwork teacher, Slings Myofascial Training Practitioner, Heartmath Practitioner as well as a Scarwork therapist and Fascial Unwinding and Energy Awareness Practitioner. All of these disciplines blend together perfectly to give a more holistic way of helping the body to heal itself.
