This is my 4th attempt at going back to my natural hair .

No, I did not give up. I tried, life happened, I went back to relaxers. Anyone who has been on this journey knows exactly what that means.

This time is different. Because I finally have the right knowledge and the right products built specifically for what my hair actually needs during a transition.

9 months post-relaxer. Two textures. One goal.

Here are the 6 things keeping me on track this time:

1. Be extra gentle at the line of demarcation. This is where most transition journeys end from one rough detangling session. Finger detangle first, always. Work in small sections. Never pull.

2. Pre-poo without fail. Oil on dry hair before water ever touches it. Every single wash day. Non-negotiable.

3. Protective styles between wash days. To reduce the manipulation that snaps hair at the demarcation line.

4. Scalp first, always. Hair grows from the scalp. If the scalp is neglected the transition stalls. Feed the root.

5. Quarterly ritual. Steam wash, trim, reset. Every three months.

6. Patience over perfection. There is no finish line you can rush to. The hair will get there. Your job is to not break it on the way.

Share this with someone on the same journey. 🤍

Your skin is always communicating.

Dryness. Tightness. Roughness. Dullness.

These small changes can be reminders to pause and give your skin the care and nourishment it needs.

Because body care is not an afterthought.

It is part of your ritual.

Your strands are only part of the ritual.

A well-cared-for scalp creates the foundation for healthy-looking hair, which is why scalp care deserves a place in your routine too.

Slow down. Pay attention to your roots. Make care intentional.

Some botanicals have been part of beauty rituals for generations.

Black Seed Oil, derived from Nigella sativa, is one of the thoughtfully selected botanicals in Nura Sacred Roots Hair Oil, bringing nourishing and conditioning care to the scalp and hair.

Rooted in ancient beauty wisdom. Created for the modern ritual.

Soft skin begins with the little things.

One simple ritual to keep in mind: apply your body moisturiser while your skin is still slightly damp after a shower. It helps your skin hold on to that fresh moisture while your body care does its work.

A slower moment. A little more intention. A ritual of returning to yourself.

Nura Body Crème is coming soon.
