If you’re used to pads or tampons, it’s normal for reusable period care to feel like a big change. The easiest place to start is by thinking about what you already use and what you wish worked better. Swipe for a quick intro on the differences between cups, discs, and period underwear. And make sure to check out the caption under each image in the carousel ;)
Period underwear is the most familiar place to start for most people. The built-in absorbent layers absorb your flow, so there’s nothing to insert. You can wear it on its own for up to 12 hours, depending on how much you bleed, or pair it with a cup or disc for extra protection. When you’re done wearing them just rinse then machine wash and hang dry.
Good to know: If you plan to use period underwear exclusively, you’ll probably need several pairs so you have enough between washes.
A menstrual cup collects your flow rather than absorbing it and can be worn for up to 12 hours. Unlike tampons, it doesn’t absorb vaginal moisture, helping you avoid the dryness tampons can cause. It sits in the vaginal canal and stays in place with a gentle seal. It’s compact, reusable and suitable for swimming, sleeping and working out.
Good to know: Inserting and removing it can take a couple of cycles to master.
Just like the cup, the menstrual disc collects rather than absorbs your flow and can be worn for up to 12 hours. It sits higher, tucked behind your p***c bone, and doesn’t rely on suction to stay in place. It can hold up to 50ml, making it a good option for heavy flows. Its higher position also means it can be worn during intimacy.
Good to know: The angle of insertion and removal can take some practice.
You don’t have to choose just one product for every day of your period. Some days require different solutions. For example, maybe you prefer period underwear for lighter days and cups/discs for heavier days or vice versa. We know that trying a new period product can take some practice which is why have a 90 day guarantee where you can try it out. If you decide it’s not for you, we’ll make it right. We want you to feel confident trying something new!
A tour nobody asked for, but here it is
Anyone else relate? We couldn’t find a pair of overnight period underwear that didn’t totally overstimulate us, so we designed one that we’d actually want to sleep in.
