Latest spoon — carved from beech and made for a lefty 🥄

Roasted in the oven and decorated with a bit of kolrosing and chip carving.

The lines came from a sketch I made during the course with LEE JOHN PHILLIPS at the 2026 Dana Le Vine pre-fest.

Really enjoyed carving this one and giving those little sketch lines a life of their own.

If somebody is looking for a special lefty eating spoon . Just get in touch with me and send me a personal DM 🙏😊👌🏼

Facets on the back of the spoon. Love how the roasting fades 🤩

These are some of the treasures I collected at this year’s Dana Le Vine 2026. 🥄✨

So many beautiful pieces I was gifted, swapped, or bought. One of my highlights is this wooden bowl from Amy . I absolutely love the form and the milk-paint colour on the outside. Since Spoontown, it has become my daily companion.

And finally, I managed to do a spoon swap with Lee! Such a lovely little beech spoon — compact, smooth, and just a joy to use.

That’s one of the main reasons I love being at the Spoontown Festival: meeting the worldwide greenwoodcarving community. I had such a wonderful time, with great chats, lots of love, laughter, and, of course, really good food. ❤️

A huge thank you again to everyone who made this happen. 🙏 Gil,Fuzz,Mazz, Martin , Oren , Jonas , Georg,Rayn ,Noam , Aviv , Debora , Nico ,Jan ,Lee , Diana , Ellen and so many more 😊

Already looking forward to the next time we’ll all be at Knowler Farm! 🌿🥄

We visited Spoontown again this year for the second year in a row! 🥄🌿

Unfortunately, Samuel Alexander had to go to the hospital and wasn’t able to teach his Pretown course. Luckily, LEE JOHN PHILLIPS kindly stepped in and taught his spoon design course instead.

This year, we focused on Lee’s own pocket spoon design. After spending the first day exploring the design and discussing lots of different ideas and details, we concentrated on the carving itself on the second day.

I really enjoyed working together with Lee — such an inspiring person, always thinking deeply about every little detail of the spoon and its design.

We ended up with a couple of lovely cherry spoon blanks, which are now finished back home. I also added some chip carving to the handles to give them a little extra character.

Another wonderful Spoontown experience, and already looking forward to the next one! Hopefully in 2028🙈🤞🏼

Hand-carved birchwood Kuksa 🌿

Crafted from Swedish birch wood gifted to me by and shaped entirely by hand, this kuksa carries the warmth and character of traditional Nordic craftsmanship.

Decorated with intricate kolrosing patterns and delicate chip carving, each detail has been carefully added to highlight the natural beauty of the wood.

This piece is inspired by the workpiece of and .

This kuksa is on the smaller side, making it a perfect companion for a quiet coffee by the fire, a sip of tea on the trail, or simply as a unique handcrafted piece to admire.

No machines. No shortcuts. Just wood, tools, and time.

Carved from plum wood and shaped in a flowing sidewinder style, this eating spoon carries the warmth of hand tools and slow craftsmanship.
The handle is decorated with a subtle chip-carved circle, adding texture to the piece.

To deepen the natural tones of the wood, the spoon was treated in a baking soda solution, bringing out a richer, warmer color and highlighting the beautiful grain of the plum wood.

Simple, functional, and made to be held and used every day. 🌿🥄
Finished with a couple of thin layers of tung oil, always cured for a day in the sunlight.

Crafted with love and a touch of tradition ✨

This beautiful wooden children’s spoon is made from rich cherry wood, carefully shaped and oven-baked to enhance its natural strength and warmth. The handle is delicately decorated with the child’s name, making each piece truly one of a kind.

Inspired by the timeless form of a .lila spoon, it combines elegance, comfort, and a story you can hold in your hands.

A perfect keepsake for little ones – made to last, made with heart 🤍

Finally, this one made it ✈️ Down under.

A sidewinder-style wooden spoon, carved from beautifully spalted birch — full of wild grain, movement, and character. Asymmetrical, tactile, made to be used. An eating tool with its own personality.

The handle is decorated with chip carving, adding texture and rhythm to the form.

This spoon is part of a Spoon Swap I started at the wonderful .town Festival last year in 2025, when I met Mat. What began as a simple idea between makers turned into a quiet promise… and now, I’ve finally kept my part.

It has safely arrived in Australia 🌏 — a small object carrying time, intention, and connection across continents.

Better late than never.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of the book Decorative Spooncarving Techniques.

I had the wonderful opportunity to contribute an article about designing and carving lettering on wooden spoons — a topic that is very close to my heart. Seeing my work published alongside so many talented craftspeople is truly an honor.

This book brings together inspiring techniques and beautiful craftsmanship, and I’m grateful to be included among such skilled artisans.

Decorative Spooncarving Techniques has been available for about half a year now through Mortise & Tenon Magazine ().

For those of you in Europe, you can also find it at Slojd.nl.

A special thank you to for this amazing opportunity — I truly appreciate it.

Hand-hewn salad bowl carved from birch wood.

The outside keeps the raw axe texture — each facet telling the story of the tool and the process. A subtle lilac accent adds a quiet contrast to the natural tones of the wood.

Shaped using axe, adze, gouge, and spoon knife — traditional tools, honest marks, no shortcuts.

Paired with matching salad servers carved from plum wood, bringing warmth and depth to the set.

A piece that carries both strength and softness — made for gathering, sharing, and everyday rituals. 🌿
