This is me telling my peers to S*x Smart during this summer holiday season in Cameroon , Prep gives Kps 99% protection from contracting the HIV virus, but it only protects HIV. Use Prep and Condoms so thst you are protected from STIs too✅🌹

The HIV response will only succeed if no one is left behind. s*x workers, people who use drugs, men who have s*x with men, transgender people, adolescents etc face the highest risk of HIV, but also the biggest barriers to services.

When we exclude KPs, HIV continues to spread in silence. When we involve them, we win.

Why involve KPs?
* We know our communities best
Peer educators and KP leaders understand the realities, language, and trust networks that outside programs can’t reach alone.
* Services become accessible and acceptable
KP-led testing, counseling, condom distribution, and PrEP outreach remove fear and judgment. People seek help when they feel safe.
* It breaks stigma and discrimination
Seeing KPs as partners, not problems, changes the story. It shifts us from blame to solutions, from stigma to solidarity.
* It makes programs effective
Data shows that countries with strong KP involvement have better testing rates, better treatment adherence, and fewer new infections.

Fighting stigma starts with inclusion
Stigma kills faster than any virus. It stops people from testing, from collecting ARVs, from telling partners.
We fight it by:
- Putting KP voices on panels, in planning meetings, and on campaign materials
- Training health workers in non-judgmental care
- Using respectful language: “Key Populations” not labels
- Celebrating KP-led success stories in our communities

Make HIV services accessible for all Key and Vulnerable Populations. Together, we can make this an AIDS Free Generation
