7 THINGS SEXUAL PURITY WILL COST YOU, BUT THEY ARE WORTH IT

A note to every Christian young person.

Sexual purity is never free. Standing for God's design for s*x means making choices that go against culture, the world's systems, emotions, and personal desires.

But listen.

The cost of s*xual sin is far greater than the cost of s*xual purity.

Below are seven costs. Some of these I have paid personally.

1) It May Cost Relationships

Many people will lose interest in you because of your values. What they want in a relationship is s*x. Without it, they will not stay. I have lost not one person but many. However, it is better to be alone than to be with someone who has made peace with sin and justifies it.

2) It May Cost Opportunities

Your values will keep you out of certain circles. Some people may reject you because you have chosen to follow God's design, and you may miss opportunities that need you to compromise. No matter the opportunities you may miss, stand firm anyway.

3) It May Cost You Time

You may plan to marry at a certain age, but finding someone who truly stands for what you believe, even in the church, is not easy. Do not become desperate or cut corners. It is always better to wait than to compromise God's standard.

4) It May Cost Popularity

Some people will call you old-fashioned, unrealistic, boring, or judgmental. You may be mocked for refusing to follow what everyone else is doing, but popularity with people is never worth compromising your Christian values.

5) It May Cost Temporary Pleasure

There will be moments when your emotions and desires are strong. Saying no to s*xual sin will not always be easy, but temporary pleasure is never worth the lifelong consequences of disobedience. God's way always leads to lasting joy.

6) It May Cost Your Comfort

Choosing purity often means walking a lonely road. You will have to set firm boundaries, end unhealthy relationships, and deny yourself daily. Obedience is not always comfortable, but it is al
