September!? Where did you go?! 🍂
I swear we blinked and suddenly it’s October 1st 😂☔️🍁

September brought us the beginning of peel season again! 🍂✨ If you’ve ever been curious about trying a peel but feel a little nervous about what to expect, please don’t hesitate to ask me anything! They’re honestly much less scary than they sound… and turns out, they’re actually relaxing! ☺️

My Nervous System Regulation treatments also took off in September, and I have to say… they’re quickly becoming one of my favourite things to offer. There’s something so special about creating a space where your skin can be cared for and your whole body gets a chance to exhale 🪷🤍

Outside of the studio, my fiancé and I snuck away for a little weekend adventure to the cutest small town’s autumn festival. 🍁🍎
Think crisp air, changing leaves, cozy drinks, and all the tiny things that make fall feel like fall.

I also attended a few Truth and Reconciliation events on September 30th, took some time to reflect, and have been slowly trying to settle into the season — even though I’m not quite sure how October arrived so quickly! 🍂

And now… October is here. 🎃🍁

I have two brand-new treatments making their way into the studio this month, and I’m so excited for you to try them. I’ve been getting my ghostie gal’s help 😉 dreaming them up and I can’t wait to finally share them with you. ✨

What are milia? 🧐📝

↪️ small, hard, white & round little bumps that are mostly delevoping on the upper cheeks or around the delicate eye area, although they can be found anywhere on the skin.

How does milia form? 🧐 —two ways;

↪️when dead skin cells and keratin get trapped under the outer layer of our skin.

↪️when our skin fails to naturally shed off these dead skin cells/keratin.

How do we treat them? 🧐

↪️Although some can be stubborn and want to stay forever so here’s my best tips on how to prevent & make them disappear;

1- exfoliate your skin regularly, focusing on the areas that tend to form milia.

2- don’t pick at them, there’s no hole for them to come out of this will = scars.

3- book a facial, milia are hard nodules (breakouts) under the skin that can only be removed by lancing—these lovely tools called lancets that esthetician’s use to make a micro hole for the milia to have a way out.
