Working away on a new cardigan.

The Caron Latte Cakes are SO soft!! I'm loving the soft pastel colours. Not what I usually wear, but I couldn't resist how pretty they are!

It's chilly and rainy here so perfect to sit and knit!

Have a great day.

Well…maybe I was a little too hasty when I said I wouldn’t be writing patterns anymore. Maybe I just needed a break.

A break from thinking about patterns.
A break from taking photos for patterns.
A break from constantly coming up with new ideas.
A break from feeling like I had to keep up with what social media wanted from me.

Just a nice, long break.

Lately, I’ve been making items to sell, and I’ve actually been really enjoying it. I’ve sold a couple of pieces, and I’ll continue making and selling things here and there.

But I’m also going to start writing patterns again.

I miss it.

The difference this time is that I’m going to do it on my time. I’ll write a pattern when I’m inspired to write one. I won’t be worrying about whether I’m releasing enough, posting enough, or keeping up with some imaginary schedule.

I’ve seen so many knitters lately talking about how pressured they feel by social media, and I think that’s exactly what was happening to me too. Somewhere along the way, something I loved started feeling like something I had to keep up with.

Taking a step back has reminded me that slowing down and actually enjoying the process makes me more creative.

So yes…you can look forward to new, easy, beginner-friendly patterns from me again!

But I have absolutely no idea when they’ll be coming out.

They’ll be released when they’re ready.

Some patterns might take months and months to make their way into the world. Others might come together much faster. And that’s okay.

No rushing. No pressure. Just creating when the inspiration strikes and enjoying the process along the way.

And honestly?

I’m excited.

I hope you are too! ❤️

So, I frogged my Coffee Shop Cardigan last night and started this slipover/vest.

I'm double knitting it so the variations in colours won't be as apparent.

It's a pretty chunky knit so it should work up quickly.

I hope everyone is having an amazing day!

How disappointing. 😟 I didn't realize until I was half way through knitting the sleeves on this Coffee Shop Cardigan that the dye lots must not have been the same, resulting in 2 different colours.

I think I may have ordered this colour on 2 separate occasions, so entirely my fault for not checking first.

Well, the Coffee Shop Cardigan will NOT be available in Juniper, for now. I think I'll use this yarn in my scrappy blanket.

Have a great evening.

I'm making myself a chunky cardigan and trying to decide, do I keep it at thigh length or go longer?

I'm thinking maybe longer because I would like to wear it more like a coat in the Fall.

What is your favourite length for cardigans?

Two more Coffee Shop Cardigans on my needles. One in Juniper and one in Driftwood.

I've been wanting to take pictures of everything I have for sale, including these new cardigans, but life seems to be getting in the way of that! Lol.

The cardigans are lightweight and oversized and so cozy!

If you'd like claim one of these as your own, send me a message!

Happy Sunday.
