Long Migration Handcrafted Goods
A tiny soap studio in the Yukon, where creativity and art meet with chemistry and function. It deeply satisfies me. See you there!
I started making soap in my kitchen after my kids were asleep as a happiness project, and I just can't seem to stop. Each soap reminds me of memories I have with friends and with the land, and the quirky things that make Whitehorse home. Each name tells a little story that's a slice of my life here. Long Migration is named for the Arctic Tern, a bird with a record-setting annual flight pattern, that returns to the Yukon in the spring. I love watching them visit the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council that I am grateful to call home. I hope you enjoy the soap as much as I enjoy making it. You can find me at the Fireweed Market on Thursdays.

Attention: Labeling Error
If you purchased a Campfire Jacket soap from me at the market, please send me a message.
There was a labeling error, and I’d be happy to provide you with the correct ingredient list and/or replace your soap.
I’m so sorry for the mix-up, and I really appreciate your understanding 💛

Brrrr! This cold snap has Whitehorse collectively fantasizing about the tropics. Case in point: the tropical-scented Northern Travel Allowance soap is getting scooped up quickly. I’ve still got a few bars left at the 12 Days of Christmas market at the KDCC for your tropical escape, with no involvement from CRA.

It’s market time!
I’m all set up for the 12 Days of Christmas Market at the KDCC. It’s been a tough fall season, and I’m happy that I was able to keep making soap during the tricky times. I’m grateful for the calming creative process that helps me keep my balance. Hope you might enjoy some too!
There’s a lot of beautiful handcrafted work at the market. I encourage you to go check it out!

Come visit me at the market! I have some soap to share. It’s not the full range, but I will be doing a market this week and next (July 31 and August 7). I won’t have any more market dates this summer- too jam packed with adventures! If you have special soap requests, just get in touch and I may be able to get some to you outside of market times.

I was honoured to make some soap for Ǹtsǟw Chù Kets’edän Kų̀, the Learning House at Wild Rhubarb Creek, for the opening of their traditional camp. What an amazing space to integrate traditional Indigenous teachings!
Those that know me, know I have a special spot in my heart for this place.
The challenge: to make an unscented soap reminiscent of wild rhubarb. I used a variety of clays for the pink flowers, and blended indigo and annatto for the green leaves. It’s abstract, to be sure, but I’d like to think that there are echoes of the plant in the designs, if you squint just right.
