This hair was so very joyful to create!!!! We wanted to create a look that would last a looooooong time! Something that will grow out beautifully and bring joy and fun when she looks in the mirror.

This was an 8 hour project. 6 hours to foil and wait for them to lift to our desired undercoat. The last two hours were spent creatively applying and processing the purple and pink hues you see to her greys (white hair) and to the prelightened hair.

In January 2024, I made a commitment to ask every client receiving a shampoo this question. Honestly, it scared the hell out of me.

I’d dreamed of using my private space to offer energy healing and meditation to my guests — but I thought I had to be good at it before I could even dare offer it.

Do you know what happened? By showing up and serving my guests each day, my own practice deepened. Body scans, deep breathing, and following my breath became easier and more natural.

I’m so proud of myself for sticking with this offer. My clients have loved it. I’ve loved it. It’s created a new level of connectedness in my work — and in me. 🩷

This beautiful human wanted hair to better reflect her artist self. We decided I would cut while being inspired by softness, feminine, wood fairy, and most of all, artist.

I love carving hair into shapes that look incredible when you leave but also continue to give life for a long time after you leave my chair. This type of carving and shaping is actually what styles your hair;) True wash and wear hair. My fave.

This look was enhanced with beach bomb, a Canadian and Vancouver based product by AG.

Thank you for your trust in me and my work. Thank you for letting me know posting on insta is worth it as it's how you came to sit in my chair!

Stylists: when someone requests such a big change: I spend more time consulting to see if it's really a good choice for the client. I learned through our consultation that she'd worn her hair short before, she'd worn shaved sides, so many different looks so I knew she meant it when she said she wanted it gone!:)

Clients: when you are ready to make a big change, spend time gathering inspiration photos of what you like AND what you don't like. Think about your home care routine and what you want THAT to look like. Maintenance, what do you want that to be?
