Optifold - Cosmetic Eyelid Crease Bandages

A recent Korean UGC video helped us realize something important.

The most interesting part of an Optifold result may not be the tape itself.

It may be the Eyelid Assessment Report that comes before it.

Before recommending a starting approach, we look at how the eyelids currently form a crease, where existing crease tendencies appear, whether the two eyelids behave differently, and whether there are other natural skin-tension pathways worth testing.

In Park NaKyung’s assessment, for example, we identified a very low micro crease that was stronger on one eyelid than the other.

But we also noticed additional skin-tension lines closer to the inner corner.

That meant the existing crease did not automatically have to become the final target.

The report helped us determine a more specific starting direction, including where placement needed to be tested and which size made sense to begin with.

That is the part we want to show more clearly going forward.

Not just tape.

MEGAN’S STORY 01/07 👁️

This is where Megan’s story really starts.

Not with a perfect before-and-after.

Not with “I tried it once and it worked.”

With messages like:

💬 “the crease fell back almost immediately”

💬 “it didn’t hold today”

💬 “it held for a minute or so”

At this stage, Megan’s difficult eyelid could sometimes form the crease we were aiming for, but it wasn’t stable yet. Some attempts disappeared almost immediately. Others held for a few minutes. During this early stretch, she would eventually start seeing 10–20 minute results too.

And strangely enough, that was still useful information.

Because even when the crease disappeared, we could still see an impression of where the developing crease had formed.

That told us something important:

📍 the eyelid was capable of folding there

🔀 the problem was consistency, not simply whether the crease could exist

🧩 placement, skin behavior and the competing folds still had to be figured out

✅ every short-lived result gave us another clue about what to adjust next

This is why we wanted to share Megan’s actual conversations with Team Optifold instead of only showing the final result.

Progress didn’t move in a straight line.

At first, sometimes it was measured in minutes.

And this was only Week 1.

Your eyelid skin is a little more “liquid” than people realize.

Not literally, obviously 😭

What we mean is that eyelid skin is soft, mobile tissue. It doesn’t behave like a piece of cardboard with one crease permanently stamped into it.

When the skin folds in one place, tissue can bunch somewhere else. When the fold changes position, those little wrinkles and competing creases can change too.

You can actually see that happening in these photos.

In the earlier images, there are several small folds competing with each other and some visible bunching above the eye.

As the way the eyelid folds changes, the skin redistributes differently. Some of those unwanted little creases become less dominant while a cleaner crease takes over.

Think of it like this:

💧 Push water in one direction and the shape changes somewhere else.

👁️ Eyelid skin is obviously not water, but it has that same important idea: where the skin is being folded changes how the rest of the surface sits.

That’s why we don’t only look at whether someone “has a crease” or “doesn’t have a crease.”

We look at:

📍 where the skin naturally wants to fold

🔀 which creases are competing

🧩 where the skin bunches

✅ whether a different crease can become the more dominant fold

When you’re figuring out where to place the f-tape, there are really two main things to think about.

1️⃣ How close or far the tape sits from the nose
2️⃣ The angle of the f-tape

Those two adjustments can completely change which crease pathway the eyelid starts following.

For this client, we recommended starting slightly closer to the nose and angling the front end slightly upward, while targeting just above the line where the skin is currently folding.

That’s why tape placement is not just about putting the strip “somewhere above the eyelid.” Small changes in position and angle can create a very different result.

And this is only the starting point.

As we see how the eyelid responds, we can fine-tune those two variables step by step and guide the crease toward a better position.

Two main variables. One personalized starting point. Then we adjust from there.
