Seniors farm

This is what support for a small business looks like.

Seeing Dina’s Green Banana Porridge in these hands means a lot to me. A recipe inspired by my great-grandmother is becoming something I get to share with people across generations, right here in our community.

To everyone cheering us on, sharing our story and making room for Seniors Farm in their homes, thank you. There’s a lot of hard work behind every pouch, and moments like these make it worth it.

From our family to yours.

What a weekend at CHFA NOW Toronto!

We’re grateful to have represented Thunder Bay alongside eight other Northern Ontario businesses. It was wonderful to share Dina’s Jamaican Green Banana Porridge, meet so many people, and see what our fellow Northern entrepreneurs are creating.

Thank you to RAIN and FedNor for helping make this opportunity possible, and to everyone who stopped by the Seniors Farm booth. We’re heading home inspired by the connections we made.

Day one at CHFA NOW Toronto! Seeing Dina’s Jamaican Green Banana Porridge on the table and sharing it with people today was a special moment for us.

I’m grateful to have my mom here helping at the Seniors Farm booth. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tried a sample, and took the time to hear our story.

We’ll be back tomorrow at Booth #2533. Come say hello! 🇯🇲🇨🇦

We’re excited to be one of the nine Northern Ontario businesses heading to CHFA NOW Toronto this weekend!

We’ll be sharing Dina’s Green Banana Porridge and meeting people who work in food retail, distribution and foodservice. If you’re attending September 26–27, come say hello at booth #2533.

Thank you to RAIN for supporting Northern businesses and helping us bring our products to a wider audience. See you in Toronto!

Proud to support our community

Seniors Farm was happy to contribute a gift basket to a recent fundraiser in support of the DEK Foundation.

The event raised $1,600, and it was great to see the community come together for a good cause.

A big thank you to Kevin Fish and everyone involved for putting it all together. We’re already looking forward to being involved again next year!

Quick ask from me.

We’ve been working hard to get Dina’s Jamaican Green Banana Porridge Mix into more long term care homes, retirement residences, hospitals and other healthcare settings.

The product is already being served in long term care here in Thunder Bay, and we’ve received positive resident feedback and repeat orders.

What we’re learning is that getting into more institutions isn’t just about having a good product. A lot of it comes down to knowing the right people in foodservice, procurement and distribution.

So I’m putting this out there. If you work with Sysco, GFS, Flanagan, Compass, Aramark, a long term care home, retirement residence, hospital, or anywhere in institutional foodservice, or know somebody who does, I’d really appreciate an introduction.

We’re a small Thunder Bay company trying to grow this the right way, and sometimes one good connection can make a big difference.

Feel free to message me. Thank you.
