Okay, this compliment from a client tonight might have made my entire week.
She went to a wedding in Kelowna and didnāt book her tan with me before she left because the bride had arranged for the entire bridal party to get their spray tans done together there.
Totally fair. Bridal party plans are bridal party plans.
But then she came back tonight and told me, āIt was NOTHING like yours.ā
She said the tan was horrible-she paid $130 for it and she kept asking the artist about all the little things I do during her appointments. Things like the extras and little upgrades Iāve added to make the experience better.
The artist either didnāt know what she was talking about or simply didnāt do those things.
And apparently even her husband noticed the difference between one of my tans and the one she had done in Kelowna.
Her final verdict? Never again will she go somewhere else just because someone else booked the group appointment.
Iām not going to lie, that felt pretty damn good.
Because itās easy to think clients donāt notice all the little details. But they do.
The prep. The little upgrades. The finishing touches. The way I customize the tan. The things that arenāt necessarily included everywhere else.
Those little things are exactly why I do what I do.
So thank you to my AG Besties who notice the difference and keep coming back. Youāre the reason I keep obsessing over the details.

For those looking for feedback on how the tan looks after the Buff treatment immediately before a spray tan. Lighting is different but fade has been good.
šØ A little Afterglow equipment upgrade!
The blower that came with my Amazon powder setup just didnāt have enough power to pick up all the different powders I use. So, naturallyā¦ I figured out a way to make it work with my big turbine thanks to another spray tan artist Kadie Cole and her suggestion! šš¼
I modified the setup so it can connect directly to my turbine using the quick connect.
The difference is HUGE! š¤Æ The extra power means I can pick up all my different powders and powder a client in less than 20 seconds! š³šØ
Less time powdering = less time for my client to stand there feeling like a powdered donut. š
I love finding ways to upgrade my setup and make my services faster, easier, and more efficient without having to replace equipment that already works!

My AG Bestie has had an air boot on ALL summer, which meant the skin underneath was seriously dry, flaky and peeling. š³
She had exfoliated at home (and girl, I see you š), BUTā¦ as you can see, the Buff PRO took it to a whole other level!
