Research on Reiki ✨

Someone once told me Reiki is fake and it’s just a nice nap 😅 Respectfully our body runs on electricity, your cardiologist measures it for a living, and a 1,411-session study found a single Reiki session significantly reduced pain, anxiety, and depression. So. A very effective nap. I didn’t fall in love with Reiki because a study told me to. I fell in love with it because it gave my nervous system the first real break it had in years. The research just means I get to have receipts when someone rolls their eyes at brunch. And because I’m not here to sell you a fantasy: I put the honest caveats on slide 8. Small studies, more research needed. You deserve the whole picture, not the cherry picked one. Comment REIKI and I’ll send you my compiled research document, every study on these slides plus more, all linked so you can read them yourself. Save this for the skeptic in your life. Or for you, the next time your inner critic calls it woo. #reiki #reikihealing #energyhealing #nervoussystemregulation reiki master Mainstream Reiki

Fall scents allow us to exhale a little longer, to prepare for rest and renewal. 🍂🍁 In a study conducted in Germany it was shown that we attribute certain aromas to different seasons and find them more pleasant in those specific seasons. Cinnamon, cloves and oranges were strongly linked to Christmas time, and people liked them more when surveyed in Winter. Rose, lemon and pineapple were considered to be summer smells by the responders and were found more pleasant in the summertime vs any other season. PMID: 19576937 Here’s the reason why: Those aromas are linked to memories from that season so we feel much more drawn to them. In the fall we crave aromas of cozy and baked goods which is why pumpkin spice is so popular…in the summer we crave more fresh and light aromatics such as lemon, lime, and pineapple.
