Cindy's Kindred Spirits
"Healing is not about fixing what is broken—it's about remembering the wholeness that has always lived within you." Today, Cindy and Darren share a passion.
Cindy served in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Medic for 6 yrs, from 1989-1995. During this time, a couple of her notable achievements were a deployment to Croatia where she served with 2RCR for 6 months, and the earning of her parachute wings. Satisfied that she had achieved her military goals, Cindy retired from a promising career to marry her husband, Darren Little. Enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988, Darren has served 26 yrs in the Canadian Army. Over the course of his career, he has served on numerous tours overseas and is retiring at the the rank of MWO after 17 years in Canada's most elite unit. Also satisfied with his very accomplished career, he will be retiring this yr to assist in the corporation that they have built over the last 6.5 yrs, "Health2Wealth". Both Cindy and Darren were certified fitness instructors. As a team, they ran outdoor kettlebell group training under Darren's company, "Iron Discipline". As well, Cindy owned and ran her own home based gym "Feel'n Fine" for over 3 years, where she turned her 15 yr career as a personal trainer into a higher calling. Cindy redefined herself as a global ambassador for health and wealth when she retired at age 40 to solely focus on helping others with their health and fitness goals through the promotion and use of health solutions. Their quest as they move into this next phase of their lives, is to help and to guide others on how they too can retire earlier, healthier and wealthier in the evolved economy.

What is the deeper purpose behind Cindy’s Kindred Spirits?
Today I’ve been reflecting on the Japanese concept of Ikigai — our “reason for being.”
It made me think about why I created Cindy’s Kindred Spirits and why this work has become so meaningful to me.
For much of my life, I’ve been helping people in one form or another — as a medic, personal trainer, business owner, mentor and coach.
After losing my son Dylan, my understanding of what it means to help someone changed profoundly.
I began my own journey inward. Grief led me to meditation, spirituality, energy work, sound, nature, writing and a deeper relationship with myself.
And somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to create the kinds of spaces that had helped me.
Spaces where we don’t have to perform.
Where we can slow down.
Breathe.
Feel.
Be still.
And reconnect with ourselves.
That’s really what Cindy’s Kindred Spirits is about.
Sound healing, meditation, Universal Healing and the other practices I share are simply different ways of creating that space.
I don’t believe I’m here to “fix” anyone. I believe there is tremendous value in giving people the time, space and support to reconnect with the wisdom, strength and peace that already exist within them.
When I look at the thread running through all the different chapters of my life, four words keep appearing:
HEAL • GROW • CONNECT • GIVE
Maybe that’s my Ikigai. ❤️
And maybe Cindy’s Kindred Spirits is simply the place where I get to live it.
What brings you back to yourself?

With the Harvest Moon this past Saturday and the fall equinox just behind us, did you happen to set a new intention, goal, or habit to help move you forward? 🍂🌕
Sometimes a new season is a beautiful reminder that we can choose to begin again, shift direction, or simply become more intentional about where we’re putting our energy.
For me, one of my breakthroughs is in my business. I’ve realized that creating something I truly believe in is only part of it — I also need to become better at letting people know it exists!
So, I’m challenging myself to learn more about email and social media marketing so I can reach more people who may benefit from the Sound Sanctuary and the space I’ve created for rest, stillness and connection.
And yes… that means getting a little more comfortable promoting myself, too. 😊
I have spaces I would love to fill in this Sunday’s Sound Sanctuary, and instead of quietly hoping people find me, I’m learning to actually put myself out there and invite them. 💛
So I’ll ask you the same question I’m asking myself:
What breakthrough would you love to create in your life right now?

We all need reminders to kickstart what we already know but maybe let lapse.

Don’t wait to sign up for upcoming Sound Bath meditations! Spaces are limited. Here is the calendar for the next 2 months.
Link will be in the comments. We would love to see you.
🥁 Take five minutes for yourself.
If you have the time, put on your headphones, close your eyes, take some slow, deep breaths, and simply listen to the rhythm of the drum.
The beat remains steady for most of this five-minute recording, giving you an opportunity to settle into the rhythm, quiet your mind, and just breathe.
Toward the end, I transition into a heartbeat rhythm, which can feel especially grounding. ❤️
If you don’t have five minutes right now, save this post and come back to it later when you have a few quiet moments. Or feel free to fast-forward toward the end to hear the heartbeat rhythm and the little message I share afterward.
There’s nothing you need to do while listening. Just close your eyes, breathe, and allow yourself a few minutes to be still. 🌿
I’d love to know how you feel afterward. If you listen, leave me a comment below. ❤️

So true!
How many of these do you have? I had more than I realized!
✨ It’s been a little quiet on this page…but it certainly hasn’t been quiet behind the scenes!
I realized recently that it’s been quite a while since I’ve shared an update here, and so much has happened with Cindy’s Kindred Spirits.
Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming more than 100 people through my doors for healing sessions and experiences. I also completed my Sound Healing Practitioner training and have continued learning and experimenting with sound—crystal tone bowls, tuning forks, drumming and other instruments that have now become such an important part of what I offer.
And somewhere along the way, something else started to grow…our Sound Sanctuary. ❤️
Darren has joined me in this part of the journey, and together we’ve now hosted seven sound bath meditations—three of them just this week!
This summer I also had the opportunity to offer a sound bath to my Martin/Coull family at our family reunion. There was something pretty special about sharing this part of myself with the people who have known me for most of my life.
And another door has recently opened. I’ve been invited to offer a monthly sound bath at a retirement residence, where one of my dear friends lives. I’m really looking forward to seeing where that takes us.
Outside of the Sound Sanctuary, life has been full too. Darren and I became grandparents in March 💕, we’ve been kayaking and biking more, created a garden space in our backyard, and I tackled landscaping our entire front yard. I’ve also been learning to use my son’s bow that he left behind—something that holds a very special meaning for me. ❤️
I also brought three beautiful crystal tone bowls home from Nevada, and if you’ve been to one of our recent sound baths, you’ve already heard just how incredible they sound.
What began as a small healing space has slowly evolved into something I don’t think I could have completely pictured when I started.
Cindy’s Kindred Spirits is becoming a place for connection—with ourselves, with one another, and with something deeper.
And I think we’re just getting started. ✨
I’ll be sharing more from inside the Sound Sanctuary soon—including some Lives so you can hear the instruments and see what a sound bath is actually like.
Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, encouraged us, shared a post, attended a sound bath or simply followed along. ❤️
