Central to Karel Doruyter work is a distinctive mixed media process, including a uniquely developed acrylic buildup technique that creates subtle topographies within the surface itself.
He will no longer be producing new work due to declining health.
What remains is a finite and deeply considered body if art, representing a life spent in careful observation of the natural world.
