D Artistry - Makeup & Hair

💁🏻‍♀️ What I bring to work as a Hair & Makeup Artist

Being a hmua is a really physically demanding career. Over the years, I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way 🫠) how important it is to find ways to work more sustainably & take care of my body.

🥲 I used to carry my makeup kit backpack on my shoulders, but I can’t do that anymore. It was putting way too much stress on my shoulders & spine 🥲

So I started using a wheel tote bag.

✔️ Makeup backpack + brush bag + light stand — all packed into my wheel tote bag
✔️ Table — gives me more flexibility with where I set up, especially when we’re all sharing limited space
✔️ Makeup chair — the proper height helps me maintain better posture while doing makeup (and my spine definitely appreciates it 🥲)
✔️ Hair kit — packed separately in my suitcase

🙌🏻 I love what I do so much, & I truly hope I can keep doing it for as long as my body allows me to 🥲

Makeup for the very talented Bride R 👰🏻‍♀️, who DIY-dyed her wedding dress to the colour she wanted 🤩

‼️Why a Bridal Trial / a Bridal Preview session matters‼️

After the trial, she realized that the full glam look she initially hoped for didn’t quite work with her DIY wedding dress or the overall wedding vibe she had in mind.

So on the day of her wedding, we created a softer look for her, & that became much closer to her vision ☺️ Thank you for your trust 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼
