Balanced ~ Energy ~ Wellness

Happy Happy October & National Senior's Day! I celebrate all of the amazing seniors I am blessed to have in my life. I am lucky to have family members and regularly connect with many positive , active aging role models through my drumming program. My aunt trekked the Camino de Santiago trail last June to celebrate turning 85. I had 2 lovely ladies aged 106 this summer ,who drummed with me. Keep moving and learning new things!🎉🙏💞

In 2022, I was honoured to be asked to spend Sep 29th with Snaw naw as Elders on Vancouver Island. It was a day to nurture them , and help them on their healing journey. I loved that they were open to receive different modalities of healing. I offered and shared energy healing , and many beautiful hugs.
What the elders endured as innocent children was horrific. One elder in his 90s finally felt he could share his experience for the the 1st time through tears. The pain was heart wrenching. The room was silent, and we lovingly, respectfully held space for him to share. It was the start of his healing. Afterwards I went and did some drumming at a place that always feels sacred , honouring the elders, and children who didn't survive and those who did. Every Child Matters.
Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡

Happy Autumn Equinox! I love this time of year! The balance of dark and light, the colours of the leaves, the cooler weather, sunrises are more attainable for me, walking and hearing the leaves crunching. Apples and pumpkins. Mother Nature shows us the beauty of letting go. In Qigong, the element is metal. Autumn is connected with cleansing & nourishing lungs and large intestines. Releasing grief, and physical waste. Cultivating inner strength. Haola, all is well and so it is.🍁🍂🍎🍏🎃
