Good retention starts with understanding the nails you are working with and choosing the right technique for each client. 💗

Proper prep, correct apex and architecture, correcting downward-growing nails, and filing underneath are all part of creating strong, balanced nails that can last 4+ weeks.

In my work, I use a hard gel system in around 90% of cases. Soft gel is something I use only occasionally, mostly for healthy natural nails that haven’t been regularly covered with gel or other enhancement products before.

The nail industry keeps changing, and I believe our techniques should grow with it. This is exactly what I share in my 1:1 mentorship for working nail technicians.

If you want to update your technique and improve retention, you can schedule a free 30-minute consultation with me. Just send me a DM and we’ll find a time that works for you. 🩷

It all started when a few of my clients made me think more seriously about whether working from home was really the right option for me.

Toronto regulations do allow beauty professionals to work from home, but when I looked deeper into Ontario requirements, I realized that my home studio couldn’t meet 100% of the criteria, especially when it comes to having a separate sink and proper area for cleaning and processing tools, as well as surfaces and furniture that can be fully cleaned and disinfected.

This has nothing to do with my tools not being sterilized or my work being unsafe. It’s simply about the requirements for the space itself, and I decided that if I’m building my business here, I want to do everything properly.

So, while we were looking for a new apartment, I was also quietly looking for a studio, and honestly, finding a small, bright and reasonably priced space in Toronto turned out to be quite a challenge. Most options were basements, older buildings or simply much more expensive than what I actually needed.

Then I randomly found an ad on Facebook for a room inside an existing beauty/barber studio, went to see it and immediately felt that this could work.

It’s still in Etobicoke, around Lake Shore & Marine Parade, about 15 minutes from my home without traffic, with big windows, lots of natural light and everything I need to organize my work properly.

I originally planned to move a little later, but I didn’t want to lose this place, so August 15 became the beginning of my new chapter. 🥹🩷

A price is more than just a number. 🩷

I know what it means to work hard for every dollar, and I truly respect the money my clients spend on my services.

But I also respect the value of my own work.

Behind every appointment are years of experience, education, professional products, equipment, business expenses, and most importantly, my time and expertise.

Tips? Always appreciated, never expected. 🩷

One day with me… and yes, I pranked my husband. 🤭

The day started with something unusual… taking the bus. 😂 I work from home, so public transit is basically a rare event for me.

Then I realized I’d almost forgotten how to use the subway.

Next stop? A medical clinic.

And then I dropped the biggest plot twist:
“Girls… I have something to tell you. I’m pregnant…”

The messages started coming in immediately. 😂❤️

But… I’m pregnant with an idea, not a baby.

For the next two weeks I’ll be working on something I’m genuinely excited about. I’m not ready to share it just yet, but if I forget to tell you what happened afterward… remind me! I’m hoping for a successful “delivery” and definitely no miscarriages for this project. 🤞✨

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who messaged, panicked, laughed, congratulated me, and even said, “You almost gave me a heart attack!” 😂

Seeing how many of you actually watch my stories and care enough to react means a lot to me. Now I just hope you’ll bring the same energy when I share my nail education content too. 🩷

Thank you for being here. You made my day.

✨ When I started creating educational content, I was mainly focused on beginners.

But lately, I’ve noticed that many of you are already working nail technicians with very specific technical questions.

So I’m thinking about creating small Focus Lessons—each one dedicated to solving one real problem.

💗 Would a BIAB Focus Lesson be helpful for you?

👇 Comment “YES” if you’d watch it.

Or tell me…

What technical topic would you like me to cover first?

Can a Fast Builder Gel really change the way we work? 👀
I challenged myself to complete this refill in just 1 hour and I made it! ⏱️
With the full design, my final time was 1 hour 35 minutes.
I’m still testing this gel, so I can’t reveal the brand yet… but so far, I’m impressed. 💗
Would you call 1:35 fast for a refill + this design?

Today’s unboxing from a Toronto nail supplier with Ukrainian roots 💕
I picked up some new professional products and equipment — both Canadian and Ukrainian brands that I’m excited to test.

I’m not naming the supplier because this is not a paid advertisement. But if you’re a nail technician or nail school in Ontario and want to know where I shop, DM me and I’ll happily send you the contact. 💌

Reviews and testing are coming! 👀

Yes - an Upgrade Level for working nail technicians is coming in January 2027!

This online program will be for nail techs who already work in the industry but want to expand their skills, learn new systems, and master modern techniques like upper forms, corrections, polygel, hard gel and more.

I’m already actively preparing it and I’m so excited to share more soon!
