Physically, the salve is wonderful for anything nerve related. Examples like carpal tunnel, sciatica, when I have a sore shoulder or nerve pain, I rub a good amount on the area effected.

Also have been used for arthritis, easing sore, tired muscles. I have also used this salve on burns and skin irritations, help reduce scarring and wound healing. Also wonderful for viral eruptions such as herpes or shingles.

Energetically St. John’s Wort has tiny holes in the leaf when you hold it up to the sun, filling in the parts of ourselves that are not whole.

I’ve been using it over my heart in times of grief as the hypericin is red like blood, offering some healing and balancing. Protective medicine as well. The solar plexus where we hold our sunshine can aid in helping protect and connect to our inner sunshine.

I’ve gained quite the relationship with this friend this year, using it energetically and for physical ailments as well.

Happy Fall Equinox. I had planned to do a big release for this day, but it kind of caught me off guard tbh. Garden is busy, bees need tending, school in session, and some other bumps thrown in there, such is life.

Feeling this change of the season this year more intense than usual. Lots of shedding, emotionally and physically. Grief included in this, leaning into the season, feeling the earth’s shifts. Trees transitioning as I was driving noticing all the colours changing. Harvesting roots, tending to our immune system with Elderberry syrup with the added sweetness of honey to remember that too.

But with all these shifts comes clarity so the release of Rosemary + Mint soap feels fitting.
