A daughter who had the privilege of loving an incredible mother, and now carries her legacy every single day.

A mother who wakes up every morning determined to give her daughter someone to admire, someone she can always depend on.

A daughter who stands beside her father through one of life’s greatest losses, because family doesn’t stop showing up when life gets hard.

An entrepreneur who built a beauty brand from passion, consistency, and faith. A woman who isn’t afraid to work, create, or start over when life demands it.

A storyteller who chose to turn grief into purpose by sharing her mother’s journey, reminding others they are never alone in theirs.

I’ve loved deeply. I’ve lost deeply. I’ve cried more than most people know. But I keep showing up.

I am still building.

Still believing.

This is my mother, Mrs. Arilee Glinton. 🤍🕊️

She passed away on September 16, 2025, after a courageous two-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer.

As her daughter, I chose to share her story on social media. In doing so, people from all walks of life found their way here, not only because her journey resonated with them, but because they helped me celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

My goal has never been for her to be remembered solely by her illness. I want her legacy to live on as the devoted wife of 43 years, the praying mother, the loving grandmother, the faithful church member, the oldest sibling, the cherished friend, and so much more.

To me, a friend is someone who shows up not just for the celebrations, but for the moments that are hardest to get through.

Phelisha K. Colebrooke thank you for being one of those people in my life. You stood by me during one of the most painful days I’ll ever experience my mom’s funeral. Your presence, your love, and your support meant more than words could ever express.

Beyond that, you’ve continued to support me by trusting me as your makeup artist time and time again. Your loyalty to my business never goes unnoticed, and I’m so grateful for every appointment, every laugh, and every conversation we’ve shared.
