My story didn’t begin in Sydney. It began in 1993, when my parents made the heartbreaking decision to flee the war in Iraq in search of a better life for their three daughters. They left behind everything they knew, carrying little more than hope, courage and the dream of giving us a future without fear.
Their resilience and sacrifice became the foundation for every opportunity I’ve been fortunate enough to have. It’s also the reason I never take this career, or the women who trust me with it, for granted.
For over 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping women feel confident, beautiful and truly themselves. What started as a passion straight out of high school has grown into a career that I genuinely love and will always be grateful for.
Over the last three years though, life has looked a little different.
With three beautiful children and my two youngest just over a year apart, I made a conscious decision to create more balance. I wanted to continue doing the work I loved while also being fully present for a season of motherhood I knew I’d never get back.
It wasn’t always easy, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Motherhood has stretched me and changed me in ways I never expected. It has given me a deeper appreciation for connection, patience and the little moments. It’s also reminded me why I love what I do: helping women feel confident, celebrated and like the very best version of themselves.
And now, it feels like the right time for a new chapter.
Not because I’ve been away, but because I’ve evolved.
This isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about evolving my brand to reflect who I am today and the experience I want every woman to feel when they trust me with one of the most important moments of their life.
The same Tara who still obsesses over every detail and still feels incredibly honoured every time someone chooses me to be part of their story.
Only now, I’m bringing a little more perspective and a lot more gratitude for everything this next chapter holds.
