Savasana 5❣️Supported relaxation pose with guided breathing❣️This pose offers all benefits of Savasana but with the slight elevation of the back, it’s helpful if you have a cold, indigestion or prone to falling asleep too easily in Savasana.
Guided breathing (Sama Vritti pranayama) for 3-5 minutes, then natural breathing for another 15 minutes❣️

Brushing up on all restorative Yoga skills with the lovely .66

Savasana wouldn’t be the same without a lavender eye pillow...💜

It’s cold and wet here in Sydney town so some cosy restorativeness was called for my private this morning.
Viparita Karani (elevated legs pose) using a bolster against the sofa, lots of blankets, eye pillow and a warm quiet room. Ahhhh Savasana 🧘‍♂️

Having some fun with the lovely during my sunrise Yoga class.
‘Yoga is far too important to be taken too seriously’... said someone once and I agree wholeheartedly.
I will miss our regular Tuesday sessions Greta ❤️.

💜A beautiful gift from a gorgeous student in class today, picked straight from her garden this morning. They say lavender is femininity all grown up. It’s such a precious and delicate flower and holds many sacred memories for me. One in particular is the heavy scent from the flowers on our hands while making dozens of lavender eye pillows one weekend with my son Oliver💜

⭐️This pose is a form of Savasana that was introduced to .66 and I this morning.
⭐️Mitch from .gibson.yogabowl is a restorative Yoga teacher extraordinaire, she has a posture for all needs!
⭐️Sometimes called ‘bed of nails’ or ‘flying carpet’, and traditionally known as Bhishmasana.
⭐️This posture is said to balance out the Doshas and also teaches us to stay in the posture, let go and pe*****te deeper. Once settled, you just want to stay....
⭐️It’s an interesting sensation of support and floating.. almost like levitating. You just have to trust and feel the support of the blocks 🙏
