Nine years as a lash and brow artist has taught me things no course ever could.
Confidence didnāt turn up on day one. It got built in the reps nobody sees, the sets that took too long, the moments I doubted myself completely. Trust me thereās been many over the years.
There were seasons business made no sense. Times I genuinely wanted to quit. None of it was the end.
Being good at lashes and brows was never what built this business. It was showing up when no one was watching and learning everything outside the actual technique.
I rebuilt in 2024 in a completely different market. Iām doing it again now. Same proof every time: it was never about luck. Itās having a duplicatable system. That WORKS.

One skill changed not only my career. But my whole life and how I handle it.
Almost a decade ago I joined a lash course impulsively. Because why not š¤·š»āāļø but I didnāt just learn lashes. I learned who I wanted to BE in this life.
When you have a skill under your belt that can create you income and opportunities at any given time or place, youāre never truly stuck. Youāre cannot be replaced in something you created yourself.

Your mapping is fighting against your clientās eye shape.
A lot of beginner artists copy the same lash map onto every client because it looks good on Instagram.
But good lash sets are customised, not copied.
For example:
āA long cat eye on downturned eyes can drag the eyes downward even more and make the client look tired.
āOpen eye styling on naturally prominent eyes can make the eyes look overly round or surprised.
āAnd using dramatic curls on hooded eyes can cause lashes to hit the eyelid and lose direction quickly.

The artists whose work looks soft, balanced and expensive usually understand eye styling before they master speed.
When you learn how to map for:

ā¢ bone structure
ā¢ lash growth direction
ā¢ natural lash health
ā¦your sets instantly start looking more professional even without mega volume.
Lashing is not about applying the biggest fans possible.
