While there are many factors that influence bowel cancer risk, processed meats are one area where research has shown a connection.

The goal isn’t fear or restriction but it’s important to increase awareness.

Jane is our nutritionist here at Hug Pelvic Physio.

Booking your first pelvic health appointment can feel like a big step.

If having someone you trust by your side helps you feel more comfortable, you’re more than welcome to bring a partner, family member, or support person to your first session.

Our priority is helping you feel safe, heard, and supported from the moment you walk through the door.

Less than 20 seconds. That’s it.

A small reminder that looking after your pelvic floor doesn’t always need to feel like another big task on your list.

Just remember: the right pelvic floor exercises depend on your body and your needs. Louise can give personalised advice to your specific needs in consult.

These things are actually more common than you might think…

So many people experience these moments quietly, often without realising just how common they are.

While they’re common, they can also be a sign that your pelvic floor might need a little extra support. The good news is these symptoms are very often treatable.

Pelvic health physiotherapy can help you understand what’s going on and work towards improving confidence, comfort, and control in your body.

Turns out, looking after your pelvic health is kinda chic 💛

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (PFD) can affect millions of people, yet many people don’t realise their symptoms could be linked to their pelvic floor.

And importantly, PFD can affect anyone.

▪️ Athletes
▪️ Menopausal women
▪️ Men
▪️ People during pregnancy or postpartum

Symptoms can look different for everyone, from bladder or bowel changes and pelvic pain to difficulties with exercise, intimacy or everyday activities.

The more we talk about pelvic health, the easier it becomes to recognise when something isn’t quite right and know that support is available 🤍

This Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Awareness Month, let’s start the conversation.

Sometimes a small adjustment can make a big difference 🚽

Positioning your knees above your hips, relaxing your tummy, and avoiding straining can help your pelvic floor do what it’s designed to do.

📌 Save this for the next time you’re on the loo.

We don’t often think about how we… wee but your position can make more of a difference than you realise.

The goal is to let your bladder empty naturally, without rushing or pushing. Small changes to your posture can encourage better bladder emptying and help support your pelvic floor over time.
