Friday Focus Flower 🌿– Gum Flowers

This week the focus is on the beautiful Gum Flower – one of Australia's most distinctive native blooms.

With its delicate, fluffy stamens and vibrant colours, the gum flower is a true celebration of the Australian landscape. They symbolise resilience, survival and deep connection to the land.

I love recreating these unique blooms by hand, carefully shaping every petal and stamen from paper to capture the intricate texture and character that makes gum flowers so special. Available in classic white or vibrant red, (with new colours coming soon) they're designed to be enjoyed long after fresh flowers have faded.

Friday Focus Flower 🌿- Leucadendron

This weeks Friday Focus Flower is the beautiful Leucadendron.

One of the things I love most about them is their amazing variety of colours, from fresh greens and soft pinks to rich burgundy and deep reds. Their layered foliage and unusual flower heads add beautiful colour, texture and interest to any bouquet.

Each of my paper Leucadendrons is individually handmade, with every leaf shaped and layered by hand.
Best of all, these beauties will keep their colour for years to come. 🌿

Friday Focus Flower 🌼 - Billy Button

Bright, cheerful and unmistakably Australian, Billy Buttons bring a wonderful pop of yellow to any arrangement. They are widely known to represent good health, joy, optimism and wholeness. Their rounded heads and intricate texture add colour, height and a playful touch to native bouquets.

Each of my paper Billy Buttons is carefully handmade, with layer upon layer of tiny details used to recreate their distinctive textured appearance. Unlike fresh flowers, these little bursts of sunshine will stay bright and beautiful for years to come. 🌿

This week the focus is on the beautiful King Protea. With its large, striking bloom and layers of detailed petals, the King Protea makes a beautiful statement flower. I have created it in both soft creamy yellow and dusty pink, with each colour giving the flower a slightly different feel.

Often associated with strength, courage and transformation, the King Protea is a meaningful choice for bouquets, gifts and lasting floral arrangements. 💐

This week, we're shining the spotlight on the bright, cheerful and unmistakably Australian wattle.

Australia is home to an incredible variety of wattle species, with many found right here in Western Australia. From delicate shrubs to towering trees, each variety has its own unique beauty, while sharing those iconic golden blooms that brighten our landscape.

At this time of year, many wattles are beginning to flower, adding vibrant splashes of yellow to bushland, roadsides and gardens.

Creating a paper Bottlebrush has been one of our most rewarding challenges. Capturing its distinctive texture, vibrant colour and natural form takes time, patience and plenty of attention to detail, but that's all part of bringing the beauty of our Australian natives to life in paper. 💐
