Did you know you can ditch the tweezers and still have great eyebrows? During your Hyperrealism brows session we analyse your ideal maintenance level and go from there.

You may have over plucked in the 90s and never want to see the traitorous tweezers again. Or like me you could have been born with a giant gap in your brows. Whatever the case, whatever your routine, I can design eyebrows that last, accentuate your face and simplify your life.

Lifting the tail of the brow is so underrated but needs to be done carefully. A brow too straight for a curved brow bone isn’t going to look harmonious. A brow lifted high above where there is lots of hair growing is going to give you a double tailed snake look. Here I used the sparse growth to my advantage and was able to raise the tail to the top half of the brow bone.

Sparse growth can be an advantage in permanent make up and brow tattoo. My client won’t have to pluck, as we designed the brow around the existing hair. Not the other way around. Low maintenance all the way baby!

I’m a millennial so get used to an excessive use of exclamation marks and laughing emojis 😂😂😂

I’m a graphic designer turned permanent make up artist. I have over 10 years of experience in the design industry and those skills I have carefully honed are fully transferrable to cosmetic tattoo. Years of training and moving an image just one pixel to the left mean that I can map your brows without a ruler and when I measure them after they’re always correct! It also means I know symmetry, balance and colour like the back of my hand.

Why did I stop graphic design? Thanks to AI I have lost my bread and butter work. I also moved to Australia (from Aotearoa) 13 years ago to get into Make up Artistry but I got sucked into the hospitality and design industry again instead. So now that my kids are a little older I’m able to come back around to that passion once again.

I’m a perfectionist which I may not love for me, but I love it for my clients who get extremely considered and meticulously planned semi permanent make up.

My camera roll from last week! Well, 5 images out of about 500, that show the best improvements after Hyperrealism brows tattoo. First client had old brow tattoo. This is about as dark as I will tattoo over, for many reasons that I will outline in a more in depth post. Any way we were able to give the client an amazing new set of blonde eyebrows that are super natural looking and are custom designed to match the client’s features.
The second client was so tricky! Easy to tattoo but near impossible to map given her muscle tone and natural brow asymmetry. I had her sit up about 15 times during the mapping process because every time she lay down the mapping I had just drawn looked INSANE. Like so wonky. If she closed her eyes while mapping - wonky! Eventually we got the perfect shape and balance between mathematically symmetrical and more importantly OPTICAL SYMMETRY! Come and see the lip blush process from consultation to finished product!

First we start with a chat about your ideas around colour, shape and preferences. Together we choose a pigment that will work WITH your undertone. I then map the shape, making sure we do not tattoo outside the lip line and keep expectations realistic.

Once we have finalised the shape and agreed that it’s perfect, I tattoo the outline carefully to lock in the shape.

I then shade the lip and fill the outline with colour. If we are going sheer, I keep the pixels spaced out. In this case I have gone a bit denser.

Finally we take photos and chat aftercare and book the perfecting session for 6-8 weeks later!
