What should you check when choosing a nail lamp? 💡

Wattage isn’t the only thing that matters. A good professional lamp should provide the correct wavelength and even light coverage across all five fingers.

Before purchasing, check:

▪ Is it designed for full-hand curing?
▪ Does it use 365nm + 405nm wavelengths?
▪ Are the bulbs evenly placed across the top and sides?
▪ Is there enough light around the thumb areas?
▪ Is it compatible with your gel system?

Single-row lamps or single-bulb are helpful for flash curing, but they should not be used as the main lamp for a complete cure.

Gel may look hard on the surface while still being under-cured underneath. Correct curing helps improve product performance and reduces the chance of uncured gel coming into contact with the skin.

A smooth Japanese pot gel application starts with a simple sequence. ✨

In today’s tutorial, we‘re breaking it down into three easy steps:

1️⃣ Prep your brush & place the gel in the centre of the nail.
Start with a small bead of gel—less is often more.

2️⃣ Guide the gel from side to side.
Use light pressure to gently move the gel and create an even, thin layer across the nail.

3️⃣ Work from the tip back towards the cuticle.
This helps evenly distribute the gel, then smooth it out for a balanced finish.
