THE WOMAN BEHIND POLISH’D! 💕

Well, hello to all my new followers! 👋🥰

I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself, because there’s a whole lot more to me than nails, beauty treatments and running around the salon like a bloody lunatic! 🤣

For those who don’t know me, I’m the proud owner of Polish’d Nails & Beauty, a little dream of mine that I’ve been pouring my heart, soul, blood, sweat and probably a few swear words into for over 5 years now! 💅❤️

But before anything else, I’m a mum to 4 beautiful children, a nanny to 5 gorgeous grandchildren and a wife to an incredible man who supports me, believes in me and somehow manages to put up with all my crazy ideas! 🤣 My family is my absolute world, and everything I do, I do with them in my heart.

Now, let’s talk about Polish’d…

Owning this salon has been one hell of a journey!

There have been some absolutely incredible highs, moments I’ve been so proud I could burst, and some pretty bloody challenging lows that have tested me in ways I never imagined.

I’ve had moments where I’ve questioned myself, moments where I’ve wanted to scream, and moments where I’ve wondered how much more one person could possibly take.

But one thing about me? I don’t give up easily. 💪

I’ve worked incredibly hard to get where I am today. Nothing has been handed to me on a silver platter, and behind the smiles, the laughter and the beautiful salon is a woman who has had to pick herself up, dust herself off and keep bloody going more times than I can count.

And you know what? I’m proud of that woman. ❤️

Five years later, I can finally say I’ve found my dream team at Polish’d. A beautiful bunch of girls who share my passion, work hard, support one another and, most importantly, know how to have a bloody good laugh!

We take our work seriously, but ourselves? Not so much! 🤣

We’re human. We laugh, we joke, we have our crazy moments, and some days I’m sure the girls wonder what the hell they’ve signed up for working with me! 😂

I want Polish’d to be more than just somewhere you come to get your nails or beauty treatments done. I want it to be somewhere you feel welcome, comfortable, appreciated and leave feeling a little better than when you walked in. ❤️

Now, a little more about ME… 🤪

I’m loud, I’m a little crazy, I love a laugh, I probably swear more than I should, and I’ve never been very good at acting my age!

People often tell me they thought I was much younger than I actually am. I reckon that’s because mentally I’m still living my prime years, and I’ve got absolutely no plans to grow up anytime soon! 🤣💃

I’ve reached a stage in my life where I’m not interested in pretending to be someone I’m not. I’ve worked too hard, been through too much and learnt too many lessons to waste my time worrying about what everyone thinks of me.

My motto has always been: We only get one life, so bloody LIVE IT! ❤️

Take the chances. Chase the dreams. Step outside your comfort zone. Laugh until your stomach hurts. Be a little crazy. Make the memories.

And above all, NEVER change who you are just to make someone else comfortable.

I’m not perfect, my life hasn’t been perfect, and my journey certainly hasn’t been easy. But I’m happy, I’m proud of what I’ve built, I’m surrounded by people I love, and I’m still chasing bigger dreams.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learnt over these past 5 years, it’s that sometimes the hardest roads lead you to the most beautiful places. 🥹❤️

What a massive week we’ve had at POLISH’D Nails & Beauty! 💅💕

Firstly, we’ve welcomed TWO new staff members to our growing little team! 🥰

💕 Kimmy has already started and has hit the ground running, full steam ahead! She’s so excited to meet and welcome all our lovely clients, both new and existing!

💕 Kaz will be joining us next Saturday, and she’s already counting down the days to start her training!

Both Kimmy and Kaz will be offering Pedicures, Japanese Head Spas and Japanese Foot Spas! How exciting is that?! 😍

And as for the salon… WOW! It’s been back-to-back appointments and a very busy, full-on week! We absolutely love seeing the salon buzzing, and we’re so grateful for all your support! 💗
