First foils for my beautiful Ruby 🪄 Don’t panic it’s coloured conditioner (no peroxide or activator)… She’s been asking for “2 foils” each side of her hair after her watching all my hair pics/videos on my phone of all my clients transformations.. Bless her she’s really invested in a transformation just like her mumma… Her favourite colour is pink 💕

Disclaimer: Ruby’s natural hair is like a Pinterest board for a natural golden blonde balayage… She’s got so much hair for a threenager I mean 3 year old ✨

Also teaching her the ropes of the salon young 🫶

Your hair usually tells on you before you realise it. Here are the biggest signs it’s time for a haircut 👀💇🏻‍♀️ I’ve attached some Pinterest pictures to show you what we mean by the ‘signs’✂️

1. Split ends everywhere.
If your ends look frayed, thin, or you can literally see splitting, your hair isn’t just “a bit dry” it’s breaking. Your bathroom sink or clothes are covered in little bits of hair after brushing.

2. Your style won’t hold anymore.
If your usual blowout, curls, or sleek look drops quickly or looks uneven, your shape has grown out.

3. It’s lost its shape.
Layers look bulky or flat, your fringe sits weird, or your cut just doesn’t fall right anymore.

4. Ends feel rough or tangly.
Healthy ends feel smooth. If you’re constantly knotting at the bottom, it’s a trimming issue, not just conditioner.

5. It looks thinner at the bottom.
When ends start looking wispy compared to the rest of your hair, that’s breakage catching up.

6. Styling takes way longer.
If you suddenly need more heat, more product, & more effort to get the same look, your cut has grown out.

7. It lacks movement or bounce.
Hair should have some life to it. If it feels heavy, flat, or shapeless, a reshape will fix it instantly.

8. Knots.
Brushing becomes more difficult, endless knots when wet or dry.

9. Colour fading.
If your hair is fading more on those wispy ends it’s a sign to give them a trim & remove the dead ends.

10. Wispy from roots to ends.
It’s frizzy & wispy from roots to ends. No amount of straightening can fix it. This is when we know the split ends have travelled up the hairshaft.
