Cover up for Debbie yesterday 🫶🏼
Back of arm above the elbow, I hid a mother/daughter tattoo with florals, each species representing the birth month of Debbie’s children.
Debbie has started collecting tattoos in her golden era, & at 70 years young she sat like a pro getting tattooed for a few hours in a spicey area…& she’s booked in for her next cover up 💃🏻

I LOVE how Amity’s feet turned out 😻 she came in recently wanting her feet done with her usual comment ‘do whatever you want I just want them filled’. 💃🏻
I am proper blessed to have this gorgeous woman as a client- she lets me loose with designs, has brought me numerous amounts of cover ups, & while her skin is challenging to tattoo it holds colour like no other!
So for feet adventures I went with eye balls because I love to tattoo them, & filled out the background with trippy patterns.

Ben came in for his annual ink therapy visit, & we did a fun sticker of his fur child Murphy🫶🏼
Murphy is now 10 years old, & I remember meeting him as a puppy when his mum Emma brought him to the studio during Bens sessions a decade ago😜
I feel blessed to not only share long term friendships with my clients, but most often their family members- partners, relos & kids of both 2 legs & four 😊

Some people wear diamonds on the soles of their shoes, others have eyes on the back of their heads, while my client Amity likes to watch where she’s walking 💃🏻 👁️ 👁️
She came in to get her feet inked as part of her full body suit, & as usual she says ‘so whatever you want’ 😃
So I’ve added two epic eyeballs that will have retina trickery patterns (lenticular) behind them next session.

Natalie came in for a make over & cover up of an old tattoo.
She’s been through an unbearably difficult time recently losing her husband to cancer, & she needed to do a little something nice for herself as she starts her new journey…
Metaphorical & physically we transformed tired wings into a beautiful new butterfly, & replaced old font with fresh new flowers & colour.

Melita came in for a cover up/make over of a badly scarred tattoo, & tribute for her precious Scoop who grew her wings recently 😔
The little rainbow was challenging with heavy white scarring that’s not very receptive to holding ink, & it was placed in prime central location making it difficult to work in & make over around a beautiful fine line image of little Scoop…but I managed to make it work with a larger ‘ice-creamy’ rainbow washing over Scoop, where she’s flown up & over after battling seizures induced by flea & tick treatment.
Topics close to my heart as a ‘tiny dog’ mum myself, I keep repellents as natural as I can knowing neuro toxins don’t always help our fur babies the way we hope they do.

It’s been about a decade since Ross & I last caught up for some skin candy, & this visit was just a fun as the last time when we added another muso to his club 27 sleeve…this time was a trippy hyper detailed eyeball piece he wanted smack bang chest centre.
Ross sat like an absolute boss while I carefully carved this design into his skin. He has plans in the future to cover the rise tattoo & we’re thinking a planet & some other spacey trippy objects to compliment his third eye 👁️ 💃🏻

Usually I post tricky cover ups, tattoo make overs & larger projects…but yes I also do smaller pieces & fine line. There’s been a large trend towards fine line tattoos the last couple of years, & as a long time wearer of tattoos (30+ yrs🫣) & 18 yrs of doing tattoos, I know how each style wears over time in our skin as it ages.

Fine line pieces don’t often age well (especially if there executed by beauticians which is happening a lot).
I give my clients all the information to make educated decisions on their designs in reference to line weight & size vs longevity.

Ross is chipping away at a sleeve that requires some cover ups, & yesterday we buried an old star (from a very large southern cross tattoo) with a modern Bugs bunny.
As a personal touch I added the initial of his baby boy to Bugs letterman sweater 🤘🏻
Not a small tattoo it sits mid forearm, right in the spicey ditch area 🫣
