I help women master body shape dressing without the overwhelm
Respectfully, winter dressing lovers… I’m only joking. You can stay, Hear me out first.
I get the most excited about fashion in the warmer months. I’m more experimental, I wear more colour and generally feel more like myself in my clothes. Not to say I don’t love a great coat or boots, because we know I absolutely do, but spring and summer are definitely when I have the most fun with my personal style.
And there’s actually a styling lesson in that.
Your personal style doesn’t have to look the same across every season. We talk about finding your personal style as though you land on one aesthetic and that’s it. But a change in season can completely shift what you feel excited to wear.
Coming out of winter, pay attention to what you’re excited to wear again, colour, different silhouettes, lighter fabrics, print. Those are all little clues to what you actually love about your personal style and a lot about what you actually enjoy wearing.
For me, spring is when I want to have FUN with clothes again. Give me colour, texture and bold accessories. So on the first day of spring, a little reminder your personal style is allowed to shift with the seasons.
Now tell me… winter dressing or spring/summer dressing? 👇
( I should also note, the irony of me saying all of this while wearing a blazer isn’t lost on me 😂 But I live in Victoria and trust me, this is VERY stripped back compared to what I was wearing a month and a half ago in the middle of winter.)
Back by popular demand. I have received lots of requests to bring this back.I’m joined today by my friend Fiona Priddle to show you how the same piece looks on different body types and sizes. Fi sits between a size 16–20 and I’m an 8–12. This is a reminder that confidence looks good at every size, it’s never about the number on the tag. We headed into DECJUBA to style one hero piece from each outfit. If you want to see more of this, let me know if we should make it a permanent series

As the weather warms up, it’s all about shedding those layers and embracing lighter fabrics, like for example these red cotton barrel leg pants. I shared these with you before and some of you asked for more styling inspo. I’ve put together a few looks to show you how versatile they can be (I honestly could have kept going too)
If you’d like links to these pants or any other pieces I demonstrated, just drop a ‘spring’ in the comments

A little more context behind the wardrobe you might have seen on my stories
On the surface, it gives me somewhere to organise my shoes and accessories and makes my filming area work so much better. But honestly, the bigger reason was knowing that having a calmer, more functional space would also help my brain and nervous system.
I’m in a slightly strange season where lots of really good things are happening, but I’m also probably the most overwhelmed and dysregulated I’ve felt in a long time. Mum life, running a business, creating content… my brain has a lot of tabs open. Too many tabs. And I know I’m definitely not the only woman who feels like this.
The filming room had become one more thing I couldn’t keep on top of. Every time I walked in, I was reminded of everything I needed to sort out which, funnily enough, did not make me want to sort it out. It’s not like I couldn’t do it myself, it’s just was one more thing that my nervous system wouldn’t allow me to do.
So I invested (I paid for the service myself) the ONE DAY P.A. team to come in and help me organise it properly, because sometimes I need to accept that I cannot do all the things myself.
I still have a few dividers and little additions to make so the system works even better for my brain, but everything finally has a place. And honestly, it already feels like one less thing I’m carrying around in my head.
Not the most glamorous reason for a new wardrobe, but a very real one
Event dressing just got an upgrade. maisie versatile event pieces that can take you from one occasion to the next
If you’ve been following along, you know this little series kicked off last year. I wanted to showcase the variations of the barrel-leg silhouette because, let’s be real, they’re definitely not all created equal. Plus, I can’t help but love a good barrel-leg pant 🙊
Throughout this series, I’m reviewing a variety of barrel-leg styles from different brands, price points, washes, and silhouettes, so you can see how each pair fits and why one style might feel completely different from another.
This week, I’m diving into Nobody Denim and the cinnamon colourway is a huge vibe.
Let me know if there’s a style you’d like me to review and style next 👇
A little preview of where spring fashion is heading this season.
Colour is getting bolder with chartreuse, crochet is moving beyond clothing and into footwear, bags are becoming softer and less structured and dresses over pants are bringing a new proportion into the mix.
You definitely don’t need to try every trend, but if something here has caught your attention, I’ve linked a curated edit of options to help you explore it for the season ahead.

You don’t always need more outfits, just a few more good layers. Here’s a quick demonstration of how I take my jeans and top and switch things up with different outerwear. No fuss, no complicated styling, just simple swaps outerwear swaps which give each look a different take. You can always add some tweaks later to really amp it up, but these starting examples show how easy it is to make your wardrobe work harder for you with less pieces.

And so the Barrel-leg project continues 🙈🙊😆
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know this little series started last year, I wanted to provide visual demonstrations showing the variations of the barrel-leg silhouette. As a shape that’s still relatively new to a lot of wardrobes, I wanted to show that they’re definitely not all created equal and I can’t deny that I love a barrel-leg pant 😆
Over the series, I tried reviewed multiple different barrel-leg pants across different brands, price points, washes and silhouettes, so you could actually see how each pair fits and why one style can feel completely different from another.
So naturally, when these landed at DISSH I considered it my duty to do a little market research for us all 🤭😂
I’ll be putting them through the same test as the rest. But in the meantime, would you like to see a few different ways I’d style them? 👇

For years, I thought pants just weren’t for me. The truth? I didn’t need a different body. I needed different information.
A hill I’ll die on as a personal stylist is that there is so much power in understanding how to dress your natural shape. And no, I don’t mean comparing yourself to a fruit or following a list of rules about what you can and can’t wear.
I mean understanding why you keep trying on the same style of pants and something feels off. Why an outfit looks completely different on you than it did on the hanger, the model or the content creator you saw wearing it on socials.
Because when you don’t have that information, it’s very easy to blame your body. I know, because I did exactly that.
For most of my life, right up until my 30s, I avoided pants almost completely. True story. Ask my friends.
Growing up in the 90s and 00s, I rarely saw curves like mine represented and I saw even fewer women of colour being used as a reference point to seek inspiration and made me felt excluded in fashion. I also didn’t understand how much the rise, silhouette , volume or length etc of a garment could change the way it sat on my shape.
So I came to what felt like the obvious conclusion, pants weren’t for me. Except they were. I just hadn’t found the right ones that made me feel confident or been taught what to look for. That’s the part of personal styling I wish more women knew.
Learning how to dress your natural shape isn’t about making telling you what you’re allowed to wear. It gives you more choice because you understand why something works, why something doesn’t feel quite right and what you can change.
Because there’s a big difference between choosing not to wear something and spending years believing you can’t.
If you’ve ever thought, Maybe that just isn’t for my body and felt completely lost. I want you to know that you can turn it around.
If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place 🫶
