Heaven gained an angel… but we lost our whole world. 🤍

Life after losing Jacob is something I never could have imagined.

The world kept moving.
The sun still came up.
People still laughed.
Days turned into weeks… and somehow, we had to learn how to live in a world where our boy isn’t physically here.

But I believe Jacob is in Heaven now.
Watching us.
Watching his siblings grow.
Watching the little things.
Knowing how deeply he is loved and how desperately he is missed.
I hope he sees us trying.
I hope he knows we’re okay when we smile.
And I hope he knows that every single thing we do, we carry a piece of him with us.

I would give anything for one more hug, one more laugh, one more ordinary day.

Until Allah brings us together again, my beautiful boy. 🤍

You are not here beside us…
but you are forever a part of us.

There is something I can't explain about the earth covering my child's grave.

When I touch the dirt where Jacob rests, I don't just feel sadness.

I think about how innocent he was.
How pure a child is.
How they come into this world with nothing but their little hearts, their laughter, their innocence and the love they give us.

And then one day, you're standing over them, touching the very earth that holds them.

No mother should ever have to know this feeling.

I come here to talk to him.
To pray for him.
To sit with him.
To remind myself that although his life here was far too short, his love didn't end when his life did.

I don't know what the future holds.

But I believe one day, when Allah decides it is my time, I'll see my beautiful boy again.

Until then, I will keep coming back.

I will keep saying his name.

And I will keep telling his story.

Jacob. My son. My best friend. Forever loved

Tattooing has taught me that people rarely walk into my studio carrying just an idea for a tattoo.

They bring their stories with them.

A memory.
A person they love.
Something they've survived.
A milestone.
A fresh beginning.
Sometimes even something they're not ready to put into words.

And then they trust me to turn a tiny piece of that story into something they can carry with them.

That's a privilege I don't take lightly. 🤍
